I established Maidai Design Consultancy in 2000 with a mission to achieve excellent visual communication solutions, specialising in the creation and management of brand image ensuring consistent visual impact. Through a close and interactive partnership with clients, communicating their key messaging to their targeted audience efficiently and effectively.

Key Successes

In partnership with Writers Reign, branded and launched Best Practice Software (Bp) (a medical software company) in 2003. Through careful brand management and creative and strategic messaging helped Bp achieve the position of market leader, it still holds today.

Developed several advertising campaigns for MIMS Australia, with the stand out success being the Drug Interactions Campaign which achieved extensive coverage and take up. 

Led brand revitalization & implementation and advertising campaigns for Fortunity, Prime Training, Cubo Consulting, MBS, Health 24/7, Mudgeemac.com, Fr Chris Riley Society (sub brand of Youth off the Streets).

Led brand creation & implementation for: Brave Words , Paul Espert Communications, Map Coaching, Radcliff Residential, RGH Consulting, Sapply, ZEP International.

Mai graduated in 1989 with an Honours Degree in Visual Communications from the National College of Art & Design, Dublin. Mai worked with Pat McIntyre & Associates (a firmly established agency in Dublin) on the rebrand of Dublin Bus. In 1990, Mai decided to move to London and took up employment with Greenaways, a subsidy of Lonhro International. She worked with Glaxo, Bowring, Bank of England, Goldman Sachs, Buckingham Palace, encompassing all facets of corporate communications and print production..

In 1992, Mai travelled to Australia for a year and during this time worked with AMP Marketing, Strange Creations & Flash Graphics. After spending time travelling throughout Australasia, Mai returned to Ireland to work with BFK Design, a major branding specialist. Managing a team of 3 people and worked on accounts such as Waterford Foods, Irish Permanent, AIB, Watson Wyatt, Irish Trade Board, Irish Life, Irish Diary Board, Department of Health, FAS, ESAT Digifone, Eason Book Group, Waterford Crystal, Statoil &Tusker Oil.

Mai moved permanently to Australia in 1998 and freelanced for time working with Saatchi & Saatchi, Anderson Consulting, Pilgrim International, ACP, Brave Communications, BAMBSB, Wathoo Cartright Williams & Imago working on accounts such as Sanitarium, GIO, Oxfam, Kelray, ToysRUs, Woolworths, Channel 7, Pirtek, Chrisco, Troy, Woolstar and Flora International.

In 2000, Mai established Maidai Design, a Graphic Design Consultancy with a mission to achieve excellent visual communications.
